Commerce Technology Administration (DCTA) intends to buy computer
workstation and network and automation development strategies support
for one base year and three option years. The contractor shall work
on-site for five days per week and provide emergency service on an "as
needed" basis. Workstation support includes: 1. Configuration,
upgrade, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance and preventative
maintenance of client hardware and software; 2. Selection of compatible
new hardware and software; 3. Construction of custom software and
database systems to support the DCTA's daily business needs; 4.
Construction and maintenance of World Wide Web (Internet) materials and
software programs; 5. training and support pertaining to software and
hardware usage for DCTA's user community. Network support includes: 1.
Configuration, upgrade, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and
preventative maintenance of network hardware and software; 2. regular
backup to tape of network server softwareand resident user files,
including e-mail; 3. Support and maintenance of e-mail systems; 4.
Support, maintenance, and DBA activities for maintenance of new
development in support of Microsoft SQL Server. Automation development
strategies support includes: 1. Internet and Intranet systems to
support various database systems; 2. Design, development and
implementation of databases to support: mailing lists, automated FAX
capabilities, user computing equipment configurations, capital
hardware, and personnel information; 3. Installation and configuration
of selected calendar and scheduling software. The basic period of
performance shall run from date of contract award through 12 months.
Contractor shall support DCTA five days pers week, eight hours per day.
DCTA may require additional support, for example, during server
upgrades to minimize workforce disruptions or when emergencies arise.
FOB destination, Washington, DC. The proposed contract is 100% set
aside for small business concerns. DCTA will not accept telephonic
