F -- VEGETATION CUTTING CONTRACT FOR NAVAL SECURITY GROUP ACTIVITY, NORTHWEST, CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA SOL N62470-97-M-6006 DUE 013197 POC Contact Mrs. Maria Swift, Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer (757) 322-4135 The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire vegetation cutting services at the Naval Security Group Activity Northwest, Chesapeake, Virginia. The Government intends to obtain by means of a firm, fixed-price, lump-sum contract the cutting, chipping or grinding of all trees and vegetation on three sites comprising 32 acres, 8 acre's and 83 acres, respectively at the Naval Security Group Activity Northwest, Chesapeake, Virginia. The Contractor shall be required to reduce the height of all the vegetation so that it is below three feet in height using cutting techniques and equipment which will not remove the vegetative root mat, nor create any ruts in the soil. A site visit is scheduled for Thursday, 23 January 1997 at 9:00 a.m. Bidders shall meet at the Naval Security Group Activity Northwest Chapel parking lot.
