Contractor shall Supply (1) Laboratory Mill, roll size 8" diameter x 16" length, variable speed, completely rebuilt, with 5/10 HP DC gearhead motor, double bull/gear pinion reduction, new motor controls, rotary unions for hot and cold water, knee and overhead safeties meets OSHA requirements, with chrome plated rolls, friction ratio 1.26:1, in like new condition which includes set of rolls, standard (not chrome plated) and set of connecting gearsm with 19/24 teeth. It is intended to award this contract to ALSOP Industrial Services, Indianapolis, IN on a sole source basis. ALSOP Industrial Services rebuilds rubber mixing equipment and has agreed to take several pieces from our old equipment and in trade for the mill being purchased. A number of manufacturers were contacted and ALSOP Industrial Services is the only company willing to take trade-ins and that could provide a rebuilt mill to meet our requirements.
