R -- WEATHER OBSERVATION FOR MARYSVILLE, CA SOL DTFA08-97-R-06523 POC D.T. McFarline This Soliciation is a Request for Weather Observation Services at Marysville, California. The contractor shall produce, document and disseminate accurate and timely basic weather observations in accordance with the provisisons of the Federal Meteorological Handbook (FMH-1). Services are to be performed sixteen (16) hours per day, seven days a week, including Sundays and holidays. Service is to be performed for approximately seven (7) months commencing March 14, 1997 through September 30, 1997 with the option to extend services on a yearly basis through September 30, 2000. The estimated price range for this solicitation is between $25,000 to $100,000. All weather observers shall be certified by the National Weather Service. The Standard Industrial Code is 8999. The FAA is seeking potential sources who have demonstrated successful past performance with contracts of similar size and nature and possess the necessary business/technical, bonding and financial capability to successfully complete a contract of this nature.
