The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine(PPQ), Moore Air Base, Mission, Texas is soliciting bids/offers for uniformed, armed guard services. A firm, fixed-price contract is anticipated. The effctive period of the contract shall be one(1) full year from date of award with four(4), 1-year renewal options. service is required 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. weekdays and for 24 hours per day on weekends and Federal holidays. The Contractor will be responsible for providing uniforms and all equipment, weapons, vehicles, radios, command center and other such supplies as may be required in the performance of the contract. The solicitation will be released on or about February 1, 1997 as a 100 % small business set-aside. Large businesses will not be considered for the contract. For the purpose of this solicitation,the small business size standard is $9.0 million or less gross receipts over the last 3 years.
