DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- The work includes the construction of an Infantry Squad Defense (ISD) Range, there are stationary infantry targets (SIT), moving infantry targets (MIT), and infantry hostile fire simulators (IHFS). Support facilities for this range are a control tower, field service head, operations/storage building, general instruction building, bleacher enclosure, ammunition breakdown building, and incidental related work complete and ready for use. -- The estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. - -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 365 calendar days. -- Bids will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the annual size standard is $17 million. -- It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office.
