The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division is seeking sources for In-Service 5"/54 and 76mm gun Radar Augmented Projectiles. We are interested in Non-Developmental Items (NDI). No Development (R&D) will be associated with this acquisition. The projectiles are to be used in place of the Navy's existing inert Blind Loaded and Plugged (BLNP) projectiles and also have a second use as a target. As a target, the projectiles' radar cross section (RCS) must be significantly enhanced to allow ships radar to track and engage the projectile and also be large enough for RF fuzes to trigger on the projectile. The S-band RCS shall be a minimum of .03m2 for the 76mm version and .20m2 for the 5"/54 version. Foreign sources are welcome to the extent they are not restricted by FAR 52.225.11. Interested sources shall provide developmental cost and test data, life cycle costs, performance and usage data along with estimated costs for future procurements of 300 sample units followed by production quantities of12,000 per year.
