14 -- TOMAHAWK MISSION DISTRUTION SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT POC Contact, Bill Melanson, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure from Texas Instruments (Advanced C3I Systems) software design agent services for the maintenance of the Mission Distribution System (MDS) Versions 3.1 and 3.3 in existing Advanced TOMAHAWK Weapons Control System (ATWCS) configurations. TI will also develop and maintain MDS 4.0 to be integrated into the ATWCS software to support both surface ship and submarine platforms. Texas Instuments is the designer, devolper and sole source producer of the MDS software and the only firm possessing the requisite technical knowledge necessary to develop and modify this software.
