The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, 93555-6100, intends to procure on a competative basis, a firm fixed price contract to geophysically log two geothermal test holes located in Churchill County, NV. The Contractor shall 1) remove the 4 1/2" production liner, ream to bottom with a 6 1/8" bit, circulate the hole for geophysical logging of the open section and re-complete the geothermal test hole (FOH #3), with the same 4 1/2" liner and 2) remove the 2 3/8" tubbing, ream to bottom with a 6 1/8" bit, circulate the hole for geophysical logging of the open section and re-complete the geothermal test hole (S.T. #1) with a 4" or greater master valve. Blow out prevention equipment will be required. The project is estimated to take 30 days to complete, and the estimated starting date is May 1997. A statement of work will be issued with the RFP. A site visit for prospective offerors is planned, with particulars to be provided in the RFP. Proposals are being requested on a firm fixed price basis to include all mobilization, equipment, supplies, materials, labor and supervision.
