installation and insulation, and all other associated work for a
complete workable automated textile care processing system within an
existing textile care processing facility. Any changes to the building
to accommodate performance of the system will be the responsibility of
the successful offer. The successful offeror will be responsible for
the removal of all equipment from the "old" textile care processing
facility at Kerrville and San Antonio, Texas medical center division
sites which are part of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System.
Buildings 18, 84 and 47, at the Kerrville division site will be
utilized to accommodate production and ancillary systems to meet
production requirements of this solicitation. Equipment and materials
shall be suitable for installation in available space, arranged for
safe and convenient operation and maintenance and, if applicable, with
referenced specifications, include lock-out and tag-out requirements
for all industrial equipment offered. All utility runs, electrical,
water, sewer, gas and steam, to equipment will be installed by the
successful offeror from locations as described in solicitation. The
successful offeror will identify to the VA what minimum primary
utilities are required to meet system production requirements; and,
offeror assumes responsibility to provide these services to the
mechanical and electrical rooms for the equipment supplier. Removal of
interior partitions, including interior and exterior load bearing
walls may be required to allow for equipment installation and maximum
work flow opportunity; ancillary support systems may be located
external to production areas but must be enclosed and be installed as
to prevent contamination from inclement weather, heat, etc. RFP issue
