The ERS and RFS antennas must be identical for exchange of information between the two simulators. The ERS will feature a large field-of-view antenna array wall from which high fidelity, precisely controlled radio frequency (RF) signals are radiated across an anechoic chamber, to be received by test articles located in the chamber's quiet zone. The requirement is for approximately 71 Broad Band antennas covering the 2-18 GHz frequency range. The antennas shall have an aperture size plus/minus 9 inches and weigh plus/minus 10 pounds. The gain requirement over the 2-18 GHz frequency range is 8.5 dB -26 dBi depending on frequency. The gain tracking port-to-port (as a function of frequency) is plus/minus 1.25 dB over 300 MHz. Polarization must be dual orthogonal linear, and the power requirements less than 50 W peak, 10 W cw. Delivery will be a maximum of 6 months from contract award.
