A -- INTEGRATION OF THE MIDS LVT INTO 6 F/A-18 OPEVAL AIRCRAFT. POC Contact, Michelle Y. Brunecz, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-94-G-0291 with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace (MDA), P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, Missouri 63166-0516, for engineering support to integrate the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Low Volume Terminal (LVT) into six (6) F/A-18 C/D Operational Evaluation (OPEVAL) aircraft. MDA is the designer, developer, and sole-manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft, and is the only firm possessing the technical knowledge, expertise, and detailed familiarity with the design and specifications of the F/A-18 aircraft and the MIDS LVT integration effort into the F/A-18 aircraft which is required to provide timely engineering support.
