C -- A/E SERVICES DUE 022897 POC Joanna Belcher The DVAMC, B'ham, AL, requires the services of an A/E for Project titled "PRIMARY CARE PHASE III". The following services are required: 1. The A/E shall provide technical services for the development of Design Development Documents (DDD) for the "Primary Care Phase III" project. DDDs typically includes preliminary plans through 35%, working drawings, including schematics and cost estimates. The intent of this project is to provide improvements in the functionality and aesthetics of the Outpatient Clinic. work may include, but is not limited to architectural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and asbestos abatement. 2. The A/E shall prepare all documents for this project form interaction and planning with the VA Engineering Service and Acquisition & Material Management Service staff. The A/E shall meet with the VAMC staff as required to accomplish the task described in the scope of work. The A/E shall make site surveys, verify as-built drawings, analyze existing utility systems as necessary, and complete any and all work necessary to furnish a complete Design Development in accordance with VA Handbook H-08-15, Volume C, "Minimum Requirements for A/E Submissions" for Minor and Minor Miscellaneous projects and scope of the referenced project. 3. OPTIONAL -- Upon completion of Design Development, the A/E may be awarded responsibility for the completion of Construction Documents and/or Construction Period Services. Construction Documents typically include the production of construction drawings, specifications, detailed cost estimates, and other pertinent documents. The construction costs for this project is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The area of consideration is restricted to within a 200-mile radius of the DVAMC, B'ham, AL. All interested firms should submit the appropriate date (SF 254 and SF 255) as required by number Note 24, to the Contracting Officer at the address listed above by CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 PM LOCAL TIME), FEBRUARY 21, 1997.
