R -- ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT SOL FINAL RFP10-97-0001 DUE 032697 POC Michael S. McCarty, Contracting Officer, 407-853-4646, 407-853-4648 KSC plans to issue the FINAL RFP for the Engineering Development Contract (EDC) on or about February 12, 1997. The EDC is for engineering services, engineering support, and facilities and laboratory support for the Engineering Development Directorate at KSC. This procurement is a competitive set-aside for certified 8(a) firms in SIC code 8731, with a size standard of 1000 employees or less. The contemplated contract will be Cost-Plus-Award-Fee with a base period of performance of one year, beginning October 1, 1997. The contract will provide for four (4) optional periods of performance, each one year in length. This requirement is subject to the Service Contract Act of 1965, with the primary place of performance at Kennedy Space Center, FL.
