23 -- MARKET SURVEY, M915 REBUILD POC POC: Joseph Smith (810) 574-8821 This is a merket survey for review and comment on the possibility of rebuilding the M915 line haul truck. At this time an acquisition is not planned. the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command is planning to overhaul the M915 line haul truck tractor fleet consisting of approximately 1,400 vehicles over a seven year period. This overhaul program will convert the existing M915 tractor to a configuration that enhances performance and supportability by using state of the ART replacement components and processes, by meeting military performance requirements and by conforming to stated safety and environmental standards. The army may acquire the overhaul kit and perform the disassembly and assembly operation or provide the vehicles for complete overhaul. To determine the availability of potential sources for this overhaul program, we are conducting a market survey.
