This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. MDA112-97-R-0005 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42. The Television-Audio support Activity intends to purchase the following items: thirty three (33) each Rackmount Mainframe; C/O: 1 ea 4 Channel Frame w/BNC connectors, with power supply, 1 ea Plexiglass Front Panel, 1 ea PWR Cord, and 1 ea Instruction Manual; accept all series 1600 and 1700 plug-in cards; PWR RQMTS: 115VAC, 60HZ, Wegener p/n: 1601-14, two hundred thirty one (231) each Interface Relay; 15 Function; F/U/W Wegener Communication 1648 Fifteen Function 25/35HZ Tone Encoder and provides contract closure outputs, Wegener p/n: 1644-03, two hundred forty three (243) each Relay/Decoder Card; fifteen Function 25MHZ and 35MHZ Tone Decoder for Dual Audio Channel SIG'S; includes Filter to remove 25HZ and 35HZ Tones from Program Audio Output of Tone Decoder; the Detection of all various combinations of 25MHZ and 35MHZ Tones on individual or simultaneously on both Audio Channels provides fifteen separate functions; input impedance: 600 OHMS BAL or 100K OHMS single ended; output frequency response: 50HZ to 15KHZ +/- 0.5DB; output impedance: 600 OHMS BAL or 100 OHMS single ended; Logic Output Level: 0.5 to 0.15V adjustable, Wegener p/n: 1648, and thirteen (13) each Tone Module Encoder, 25 and 35HZ; 15 Function; Dual Audio Channel; F/U/W 1600 series Wegener Chassis; PWR RQMTS provided by Chassis, Wegener p/n: 1698. The Government anticipates negotiating and entering into a contract on a sole source basis with Wegener Communications, 11350 Technology Circle, Duluth, GA 31055 or its dealers under the authority of FAR 5.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
