68 -- WATER DEIONIZATION SYSTEM SOL DAAA03-97-R-0022 DUE 022697 POC Pam Burton, Contract Specialist, 501/540-3017. AMENDED SYNOPSIS TO INCLUDE OPTION YEARS (4) FOR THE REGENEARTION SERVICES. System, Water Deionization in accordance with Technical Specification entitled "Water Deionization System, Bldg. 32-732" No. SIOPB-ET-TS-1996-7 dated September 1996. The contractor shall be responsible for providing a reverse osmosis and deionization equipment to treat potable wqater and off-site regeneration services for one year, to include four option years for the regeneration services. The Government concept uses reverse osmosis to pretreat the water and then deionization to polish the water, however, other designs will be acceptable if they will resuslt in effluent water which meets the requirements of subparagraph 2.2 of the technical specifications. It is the Government's intent to use reverse-osmosis treated water at a rate of 5.5 gpm (minimum) for the waste slurry preparation process and 4.5 gpm of reverse-osmosis treated water is to be futher treated by deionization for use as a feed stream to the supercritical oxidation reactor. 1 each.
