COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 17,1997 PSA#1764US Army, CECOM Acquisition Center, Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey 07703-5008 A -- SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR DUE 013197 POC Dan Kuderna, Electronics
Engineer, SFAE-IEW-NV-TS, FAX: 908-427-5072. E-MAIL: synthetic
aperture radar, kennard@doim6.monmouth.army.mil. This is a market
survey by the Dept of the Army to determine the existence or additional
sources who have demonstrated the capability to manufacture a Synthetic
Aperture Radar (SAR) for integration into the Predator Medium Altitude
Endurance Unmanned Air Vehicle. At a minimum, this radar must meet the
following performance requirements: resolution of 0.3m strip map SAR,
CEP of 30 meters, depression angles of 15 to 60 degrees, squint angle
of 90 degree +/- 5 degree at speeds from 25-80 meter/second. The SAR
payload must meet the mechanical and electrical interfaces of the
Predator MAE UAV. System weight must be no greater than 175 pounds,
meet power requirements of 1200 W. There is a potential Army
requirement for a quantity of forty-seven (47) SAR payloads, nine (9)
sets of Ground Control Station racks and requisite spares. First system
delivery would be required twelve (12) months after contract award with
following units delivered at a rate of one (1) to two (2) radar per
month. The government presently does not have configuration control of
drawings and there is no technical data package available. This is not
a request for proposals. Sources capable of Synthetic Aperture Radar
which meet or exceed the above requirements shall indicate in writing
by SPECIFIED DATE to PM NV/RSTA, ATTN: SFAE-IEW-NV-TS (Dan Kuderna),
Bldg 9039, Evans Area, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5302, FAX (908)427-5072
