This notice is for a pre-solicitation conference for hotel room accommodations for the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The conference will be held on February 10, 1997, 2:00 p.m. at the U.S. Department of State, 26 Federal Plaza, Suite 3409, New York, New York 10278-0193, enter at the Federal Building, Duane Street Entrance. The purpose of this conference is so that industry may ask questions and make comments about the following two DOS requirements. Interested parties must notify Camille Battle, Contracting Officer, 703-875-6050, by January 31, to obtain a letter of invitation which has to be presented at the Building's Duane Street entrance for admittance to the conference. The requirements consists of: 1) 275 daily single room accommodations for security agents during the United Nations General Assembly sessions in midtown New York and 2) a command post of 11 to 15 contiguous rooms in midtown New York. The UNGA sessions will be held September 10, 1997 through October 6, 1997. The resultant contracts will be for 1 base year plus four additional option years.
