This is a two-step sealed bid. The principal features of the work
include: The primary objective is to remove the potential of human
contact with contaminated soil by removing the soil on approximately 65
residential properties, and replacing it with uncontaminated materials.
The principal components of the work to be performed under these
specifications include the following: remove the contaminated soil,
haul, and place this material at a designated location that is located
in the immediate vicinity (1 to 3 miles distance from source);
refilling the excavated areas with clean materials in kind; landscape
restoration including planting trees and shrubs; laying sod; and
replacing structures that have been salvaged or installing new
structures; and selective site clearing. For additional technical

package will be available after January 24, 1997. Herriman is located
approximately 19 miles southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah, in Salt Lake
County. A preproposal site visit will be conducted on February 20,
1997. Estimated project range is $1,000,001 to $5,000,000. COPIES OF
