The principle features of work includes: converting janitor closet in 1st floor to a public toilet; draft curtain in attic; install a new phone system; furnish fire extinguishers and install them in cabinets; install furring on dorm room head walls; install exterior lighting; partially demolish existing building and grounds area; provide electrical system and mechanical system; provide new package chiller, boiler unit, and new fan coil units with all piping included; replace fire alarm system; replace cable TV cable and outlets; refurbish the walls, floors, and interior finishes; and install a new fire sprinkler system. If a subcontracting plan is required, the following minimum subcontracting goals will be applicable: Small Business -- 55%, Small Disadvantaged Business -- 9%, Women Owned Small Business -- 3%, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions -- 5%. Award of this project is subject to availability of funds. Estimated magnitude of work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
