This is an information only announcement on procurement strategy. No one will be issued a copy of the solicitation. The Chemical Biological Defense Command (CBDCOM) and the Tank Automotive Armament and Chemical Acquisition Logistics Agency (TACOM-ACALA) have developed the procurement strategy for the production of the M45 Chemical-Biological Mask, which was published in the CBD as a sources sought Market Survey on 15 Aug 96. The M45 Mask program has been accepted by the Small Business Administration as an 8 (a) set-aside, sole source, to Campbell Plastics Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc., Corona, CA. A 3 year multi-year contract, FYs 97-99, for the basic quantity 26,311 each, is contemplated, with two option years for a quantity of 4,000 each in each option year (FYs 2000-2001). Also, each year of the basic production will include an option quantity of 1,000 each (FY97, FY98, and FY99). Concurrent spares, consisting of the following components on the M45 CB Mask, may be procured on the production contract on a 5 year Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery basis: Faceblank Assy, Nosecup Assy, Second Skin, Port Gasket, Side Voicemitter, Inlet Valve Assy, Outlet Valve Cover, Internal Drink Tube, External Drink Tube, Coupling-Half Quick Disconnect, Headharness, Hose Assy w/o Gasket, Microphone, Microphone Positioner & Gasket Assy, Cable Assy, Radio Frq, Outserts, Hood, Outlet Valve Disk, Carrier, and shipping, Support.
