C -- REPAIR/PAINT WATER TOWERS DUE 021797 POC Renate Rainboth, Contracting Officer, 914-838-5263 A/E services to provide a complete design including preliminary and working drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, construction period services and site visits for Project #533-97-129 "Repair/Paint Water Tower" at VAMC Castle Point, NY. This project will include new wells, new well pumps, repairs and upgrades to the water distribution system. The water treatment system will be improved to include water softenings to accommodate our switch from river water to hard well water as our primary water source. Testing and inspection of welds and joints in water storage tanks will be included. The investigation of the inclusion of a reverse osmosis system will take place during this project. Evaluation criteria will be as follows: 1) Professional qualifications and disciplines of staff proposed for satisfactory performance of required services. 2) Examples of specialized experience and technical competence in the various disciplines required for the specific project. 3) Examples of project schedulecontrol and capabilities showing ability to accomplish work within the allotted time frame. 4) Location of the firm or working office providing professional services within 100 miles (or in general geographic area) of the project site. 5) Qualifications and performance of sub-consultants proposed for the project. 6) Computer capabilities, including Drawings on AutoCad Release 12 and Specifications on Microsoft Word 6.0. Construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Applicable SIC is 8712. The size standard is $2.5 million. Contract award is subject to availability of funds.
