U -- EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICES SOL 240/0069Z/97 DUE 020497 POC Purchasing Agent, JOANN WILLARD, (202) 231-2824 The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), intends to solicit and negotiate with Fried & Sher Inc. on a sole source basis to award a follow-on service contract for maintenance of a Career Resource Center at DIA. The contractor will be required to maintain a comprehensive resource library of information which is appropriate for the work- life needs of DIA employees, to provide on-site staffing for 8 hours per month, to conduct at least eight seminars for DIA employees on various work-life issues, to plan, organize, manage, and staff a Resource Fair, to produce a customized monthly newsletter for DIA employees on topics of current interest and to produce other publications and factsheets based on the needs and interests of the DIA. Other sources capable of satisfying this requirement are invited to submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capability to satisfy this requirement. All responses should reference PR 240/0069Z/97. Interested parties have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the requested information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable to this synopsis. A determination by the Virginia Contracting Activity not to compete this proposed procurement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Virginia Contracting Activity.
