Speights (Site Code W31XNJ) The work consists of rental of cutterhead pipeline dredge with attendant plant and operators for annual maintenance dredging principally of the Alabama River System with possible assignment to the Upper and Lower Black Warrior and Tombigbee River System (BWT) or the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway (TTWW), Alabama and Mississippi. The work will require dredging to depths of 13 feet or greater over channel widths of up to 200 feet with greater width at certain locations, and pumping of material to disposal areas over distances as great as 8500 feet and lifts up to 70 feet. The character of the material may range from fine silts to heavy sands and clays. This contract will be restricted to 20, 22, and 24 inch discharge diameter dredges with minimum horsepower of 2100, 2100 and 2400 respectively.
