15 -- UPPER SPOILER PANELS SOL SP0460-97-R-0448 DUE 030497 POC Allie Zane, Contract Specialist, 804 279-6679, Contracting Officer, John Henley, 804 279-6330 Rebuild/remanufacture, stock and deliver upper spoiler panels (18 NSNs) for the Lockheed, C-141 Starlifter. The scope of work for this requirement shall include the following: disassembly and inspection; replacement of all seals, bearings, bushings, honeycomb, and outerskin, bond new doublers and inner skins; inspection and tests; serialize; stock/store and issue as required. Est. quantity for repair over the life of the contract (24 month base period w/ 3-12 month option periods) is 194 upper spoilers. The contractor will be required to maintain a mimimum of 2 spoilers of each type in stock at all times. Initial input for rebuild/remanufacture will be approx. 72 spoilers. All prospective offerors must have FAA manufacturing and/or repair certification. All work performed under this contract must conform to current industry standards, LACs, ECOs and military specifications identified in the statement of work or related drawings. Each spoiler has its own technical data package that will be provided withthe solicitaion. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 20 Feb 97 at Warner Robins AFB, GA.
