This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. UNICOR requests proposals for Stainless Steel Butt Hinge for a one (1) year period. Solicitation Number is 1PI-R-0690-97 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42. The Standard Industrial Code is 5072 and small business size standard is 100 employees. Line items quantities are estimated on a one year usage. Contract Line Item 0001 is Hinge, Security, Brass, 4.5" X 4.5" x 3/16" plated, full mortise, investment cast brass hinge with concealed, non-removable stainless steel pin with ball bearings and stainless steel bearing plates. Hinge Pin diameter approximately 9/16". Hinge to include 12-24 X 1/2" minimum pin- in-torx stainless steel security screws. Unit of measure is "pair". Total estimated quantity is 4,000 pairs. Hinge equipped with security studs on each leaf. Hinge to include 12-24 X 1/2" pin-in-torx stainless steel security screws. Unit of measure is "pair". Estimated total quantity is 4,000 pairs. Line Item 0004 is pin-in-torx, SS, security screw, 12-24 X 1/2", stainless steel, flathead, security screw. Unit of measure is "each". Total estimated quantity is 4,000 each. Prospective bidder must be able to deliver a minimum of 1,000 of the stainless steel hinges, no stud, within 30 days ARO after award of contract. Due to logistics of the contract, bidder must be aware that the hinges will be shipped directly to the UNICOR customers which will be in many locations across the Continental of the United States. A contract will be awarded to the offeror who submits the lowest aggregate offer. A Firm-Fixed Price Requirement Type contract for one year is anticipated. Period of Performance is Date of Award to One (1) year thereafter. Place of Performance is various UNICOR locations throughout the Continental of the United States. Delivery Orders will be placed by UNICOR, FCI Pekins, 2600 South 2nd Street, Pekin, ILL. 61554 by the Contracting Officer, Mr. Boyd Dunston, Telephone Number (309) 477-4695.
