The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be issuing Amendments 0004 and 0005 to Request for Information (RFI) DTFA01-96-R-340N2 within one week. Amendment 0004 to the RFI document consists of a draft model contract and additional information concerning the bidders' conference scheduled in Seattle, WA on February 12-13, 1997. The draft model contract and bidders' conference information will be released on the internet on January 17, 1997. Amendment 0005 to the RFI document consists of the Screening Information Request (SIR), which will be released on the internet on January 23, 1997. This is NOT a request for proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. This synopsis is for informational purposes ONLY, and this announcement does not constitute a contract or an offer to contract by the Government of any kind. This RFI is not to be contrued as a commitment by the Government. The RFI is available on the internet at URL "http://www.faa.gov/nisc/rfi" where it can be read and selectively copied or downloaded. This is a new URL. The previous URL will contain a link to this new address. Interested parties in the NISC Program are assumed to be capable of accessing the RFI through the internet. Amendments will be posted to this internet site as they occur. Interested parties should check this site frequently for changes in that the mailing list described in Section 1.6 of the Basic RFI will no longer be maintained.
