W -- LEASING OF VEHICLES FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF KOREA DUE 021597 POC Donna Yoshimoto, Contract Specialist, (808) 438-6535, ext 197 Seeking sources able to provide a one year lease with option to purchase 4-wheel drive vehicles (5 each), 2.75 or 5 ton truck (4 each, and 11-passenger van (1 each) for use in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK). Trucks must be able to withstand traveling through rough terrain and be equipped with sufficient overhead cover and side walls for large cargo. Contract shall include delivery, full insurance coverage, storage, maintenance and repair of all vehicles. Conditions in North Korea are extremely hazardous with limited road networks and logistical infrastructure. Period of performance is 1 July 1997 through 30 June 1998 with option to purchase vehicles at expiration of contract.
