Provide the labor, equipment, materials and testing to bring the fracture critical welds of the ten (10) spillway bulkhead gates at the Cheatham Power Plant to present bridge welding codes (ANSI/AASHTO/AWS D1.5-95). The job will consist of removing the existing welds, rewelding the structure then testing the final welds for compliance. Each of the gates are approximately 61'6" wide x 5'5" high x 4' deep and each weighs about 37,000 pounds. The lead paints on the designated welds have been removed. The gates can be repaired on site or may be moved to another site for the repairs. The work should be completed within 120 days after award of the contract. The vendor shall be required to submit with their Quotation a listing of certified, qualified welders meeting the requirements to perform the work in this synopsis as specified in the Request for Quotation to be considered responsive. This is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE and to be classified as a small business, average annual receipts for the past three years cannot exceed $3.5 million. The range of this work is between $25,000 and $100,000. Request for Quotations will be available on or about 27 January 1997 and all quotations will be due by close of business 4 March 1997. Award will be made to a small business firm by purchase order in response to written quotations using Simplified Acquistion Procedures.
