Dickey, Contracting Officer The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, equipment, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes removing concrete foundations and duct bank: removing steel structures; removing electrical equipment; excavation for foundation and trenches, backfill, and gravelfill; concrete for foundations for steel structures, electrical equipment, and cable trench; metalwork; installing Government-furnished power transformer, power circuit breakers, reclosers, and voltage regulator; furnishing and installing disconnecting switches with interrupter, disconnecting switches, fuse disconnecting switches, and hook-disconnecting switches; voltage transformers, current transformers, and coupling capacitor voltage transformers; grounding system, conduit, insulated conductors and cables, bus systems, substation signs, safety switches, cable terminators, and floodlighting units; and station service transformer with manual transferswitch and outdoor ac panelboard. This project is located in Pennington County, South Dakota. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be available in hard copy only. All work must be completed within 300 calendar days after the receipt of a "Notice to Proceed". This solicitation will be issued on or about February 24, 1997. The projected bid opening date is on or about March 25, 1997. This proposed procurement is unrestricted (full and open).
