Box 9207, Savannah, GA 31412, on a sole source basis to enter into a modification repair of lock miter gates to include repair of hinges and miter and quoin thrust reaction members on contract number DACW21-95-C-0146. Work includes repair of the lock at the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam located south of Augusta, Georgia. The Dam and Lock was constructed in 1935. The gates to the lock no longer swing or seat properly. Work includes de-watering lock, determine extent of repair required, then make necessary repairs. De-watering will include constructing cofferdams upstream and downstream of the lock. All water penetrating thru the structure must be reduced to a workable level. Repairs required are defined in general terms only. Repairs to lock include replacing gate hinges, parts and structural members. Repair parts include castings which must be fabricated to replace existing parts that are worn beyond use. The authority of this plan of action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. If a firm other than The Industrial Company (TIC), P.O.
