66 -- ACQUISITION OF EDDY CURRENT TUBE TESTER POC Ginny Powers, BOC-110, 407-867-7869 EG&G Florida, Inc., in support of NASA at the Kennedy Space Center, is seeking sources to provide one (1) each Eddu Current Tube Tester. The system supplied shall incorporate the following features: 1) the eddy current unit must incorporate dual frequency capabilities; 2) the system must be able to be used as a conventional eddy current unit for locating surface and sub-sur-face cracks and corrosion; 3) the system must have the capability to measure conductivity and coating thickness; 4) the system must be able to inspect copper tubing; 5) the system must be able to inspect carbon steel tubing and pipes which incorporates a remote field eddy current interface; 6) the system must be capable of adapting an automatic high speed probe transport system for tub-ing; 7) necessary software and hardware training shall be provided on site; 8) the system shall consist of the following hardware and software: Tube sheet diagram software compatible with Microsoft Windows 3.1xx; tubing data analysis software compatible with Mocrosoft Windows 3.1xx; portable -- less than 15 lbs; operat-ing frequency of 60Hx -- 6 Mhz; dual frequency mode: 100 Hz -- 2 Mhz; Internal battery operated; Ac Inlet (100 -- 120V or 200-240V at 50/60 Hx option); 6" minimum screen size; measure coating thick-ness of 0-0.5"; measure conductivity range: 1% to 100% IACS; analog outputs for both channels and mix; RS232 output; storage capability of minimum 50 traces and 50 settings; Dual channel, Dual probe, Dual frequency capabilities. Suppliers capable of providing a system that meets these specifications are invited to send a data package including sufficient technical data to establish a bonafide capability of meeting the requirement, price sheets, GSA schedule (if applicable) to EG&G Florida, Inc, attn: Ginny Powers, BOC-110, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899. A request for proposal will not be issued until after any submitted data packages have been reviewed for technical acceptance.
