66 -- ACQUISITION OF 100 KILOVOLT CONSTANT POTENTIAL X-RAY SYSTEM POC Ginny Powers, BOC-110, 407-867-7869 EG&G Florida, Inc., in support of NASA at the Kennedy Space Center, is seeking sources to provide one (1) each 100 kilovolt constant potential X-ray system. The system supplied shall incorporate the following features: 1) a control unit with voltage continuously adjustable from 10 to 100 kV for operation from 220 volts AC/60 hz; 2) a dual focal spot 0.4" small/1.5" large 100 kV/15mA metal ceramic x-ray tube with beryllium window, entire tubehead assembly size not to exceed 3" diameter by 11" length; 3) a water cooler with a set of cooling hoses 20 m (minimum) in length; 4) a high voltage cable 20m minimum in length; 5) a control unit with kV/mA gages and/or digital displays indicating kV/mA; 6) a 100 kV high voltage generator; 7) a mobile transport with pneumatic tires capable of transversing grated surfaces, size not to exceed 29"w x 40"L x 59"H; 8) one set of interconnect cables and warning lamp with cable; 9) unit must be capable of operation on standard 110V/ 15/20Amp circuit, via a transformer; 10) maximum total weight of the system not to exceed 470 lbs; 11) waterproof protective cover; 12) 2 sets of operational maintenance manuals; system schematics and parts list; 13) factory repair location area(s) within the continental US. Suppliers capable of providing a system that meets these specifications are invited to send a data package including sufficient technical data to establish a bonafide capability of meeting the requirement, price sheets, GSA schedule (if applicable) to EG&G Florida, Inc, attn: Ginny Powers, BOC-110, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899. A request for proposal will not be issued until after any submitted data packages have been reviewed for technical acceptance.
