This sources sought announcement is issued for the purpose of identifying sources for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) recorder/reproducer and stand alone reproducer to replace the current RD-379,RD-379A and RD-390 recorder/reproducers utilized at Naval and Marine Corps Air Stations and aboard US Naval ships. The recorder/reproducer shall be capable of recording and playback of all air traffic control(ATC) communications and radar data which shall include frequency and shift key (FSK) and digitized radar data. The recorder/reproducer shall be expandable for audio channels and data channels separately up to at least one hundred (100) voice channels and sixteen (16) data channels. The stand alone reproducer shall be capable of playback of voice and radar data from the previously recorded media. Request information regarding specifications, capabilities and price of currently manufactured commercially available systems only. This announcement is only an expression of interest. Future requirements and procurements are uncertain. The Government does not presently have a requirement and does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement.
