Public notice is hereby given that the National Park Service proposes to award a concession contract authorizing marina and food service facilities and services at Gateway National Recreation area, Brooklyn, New York for a period of approximately fifteen years from date of contract execution. EFFECTIVE DATE: Sixty (60) days after date of publication in the "Federal Register." ADDRESS: Interested parties should contact the Superintendent, Jamaica Bay/Breezy Point Unit, Gateway National Recreation Area, Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY 11234 to obtain a copy of the prospectus describing the requirements of the proposed contract. A request must be accompanied by a fee of $100.00 made payable to the National Park Service. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This contract has been determined to be categorically excluded from the procedural provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act and no environmental document will be prepared. The existing concessioner does not have a right of preference in the renewal of its contract. The Secretary will consider and evaluate all proposals received as a result of this notice. Any proposal must be received by the Superintendent, New England System Support Office, not later than March 18, 1997, to be considered and evaluated. (0021)
