U.S. Coast Guard, MLCPAC, Alameda, CA proposes to contract for the drydock and repairs to CGC FIREBUSH, a 180' buoy tender, homeported in Kodiak, AK. All work will be performed at a facility capable of drydocking the cutter. Work will start on 28 Apr and complete on 27 June 1997. Work items will include; drydocking, underwater body preservation, sea valve & waster piece inspection, allied single point davit overhaul, buoy deck preservation, cargo hoisting padeye testing, ground tackle inspection, rudder stock maintenance, warping capstan overhaul, bow thruster maintenance, stern tube repair and alignment, ventilation duck cleaning and freeboard preservation. An unrestricted solicitation will be issued on 7 February 1997. This procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
