Planning (HQ USAF/XPX), in conjunction with the National Security
Industrial Association (NSIA) presents a one day, unclassified
symposium to discuss the future of the United States Air Force. The Air
Force has taken revolutionary steps with regard to its long-range
planning, guided by the current Chief of Staff of the Air Force. The
effort recently produced the Global Engagement, a vision for the Air
Force for the next 30 years. Global Engagement articulates the
contributions of air and space power to joint warfighting and future
defense needs of the nations. Both the Secretary and Chief of Staff of
the Air Force will present. The objective will be to further
facilitate Air Force/industry/academia partnerships and dialogs on the
course upon which the Air Force has embarked. Additionally,
representatives from the Rand Corp., the USAF Science Advisory Board,
the Air University and the USAF Long Range Planning Group (AF/XPX) will
present. The symposium will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott,
1700 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, VA. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 13
