This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. DSWA02-97-Q-0006 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. Line Item 0001 -- Dual Poly Urethane on iron container caster, ISO corner fittings that lock the wheel in place on the containers, 6,000 lb capacity per wheel, Swivel, to include Container Caster Lock, Tandemloc Inc. P/N 870006-60S-PD -- 20 each. Line Item 0002 -- Dual Poly Urethane on iron container caster, ISO corner fittings that lock the wheel in place on the containers, 6,000 lb capacity per wheel, Rigid, to include Container Caster Lock, Tandemloc Inc. P/N 870006-60R-PD -- 20 each. This is a brand name or equal requirement. If quoting other than brand name product, the offeror must provide the manufacturer's brand, model or part number along with a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements of this announcement. This may include product literature, specification sheets, cuts, illustrations drawings or other documents if necessary. The salient technical characteristics listed above provide the minimum requirements for these casters, which will be used by the Government for special design transport cases. It is crucial that the casters have the ISO corner fittings that lock the wheel in place on the containers. The delivery will be required within 30 days of issuance of a Purchase Order and shall be FOB Destination to FM&T, NC -- 135 Area -- Truman Gate, Bldg. 128, Kirtland AFB, NM 87117, with final inspection and acceptance at destination. The Contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. Applicable SIC Code is 3429 and Small Business size standard is 500 employees.
