70 -- PURCHASE OF SOFTWARE DUE 020797 POC Joanne Tarr Tel: (410) 965-9474 The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with Network Software Associates (NSA), Federal Systems Division, 1916 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300, Arlington, Virginia for the purchase of NSA's Productivity Client Software, which shall include 1 year maintenance support under an Extended Service Plan. The SSA is currently using NSA's Elite/Plus 3270 terminal emulation product to allow Windows NT users to interact with applications residing on SSA's mainframe. NSA has an add-on to NS/ElitePluse which is used to provide enhanced graphical user functionality and will be customized for selected SSA mainframe applications. Using enhancements developed exclusively by NSA, for SSA, this purchase will allow for the customization of the SSA Productivity Clients to seamlessly integrate with NS/ElitePlus. Therefore, NSA is considered to a sole source for this requirement. Any literature, or information submitted as a response to this notice, must contain enough information attesting to the capability of a product offered to meet SSA's requirement. Respondents should refer to NSA97JT. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. If after 15 days of this notice, no viable responses have been received, SSA shall issue the award to Network Software Associates. (0022)
