A -- INSTALLATION OF EMBEDDED LORAN-C MODIFICATION KIT INTO THE B.F. GOODRICH TRC-791A, TRAFFIC COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM (TCAS-1). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD proposes to acquire the development, installation, testing, and delivery of an embedded LORAN-C capability into seven (7) TRC-791A TCAS-I Transmitter/Receivers on a sole source basis from B.F. Goodrich. A firm-fixed price contract is being contemplated. This requirement to include options for an additional quantity of forty (40) units with the LORAN-C capability. Necessary materials will also be acquired. This action will be negotiated on a sole source basis with B.F. Goodrich under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements) as these units embody a proprietary design exclusive to B.F.
