Work includes but is not limited to the following: Construction of an addition approximately 3,000 SF expanding the front end of the commissary to allow for new entrance and exit vestibules as well as new administrative offices, cashier/cash counting office, bagger's breakroom, patrons' restroom and customer waiting area. In addition, a 5,600 square foot addition will be constructed to the west end of the building for the new produce processing and storage rooms, dairy storage, pre-pkg/poultry storage and expanded receiving aisle. The sitework will include some concrete and paving as well as utilities work. Alterations to the store will include demolition of existing administrative offices, cold storage rooms, exterior canopy, etc., for making the renovations that will include but limited to new mechanical mezzanine, new walk in coolers, expansion of the sales area, expansion of the frozen food sales area, expansion of the checkout area, new shopping cart storage, new refrigerated display cases along with new refrigeration compressor racks will be required, new HVAC equipment will be required, new lighting, fire protection, replacement of non-refrigerated equipment and complete decor package. Alterations in the warehouse will include new administration offices. Some asbestos and lead paint abatement, as well as roof replacement will be required. Phasing of overall construction work will be required through the duration of the project to allow for full operation of the commissary. Proposed procurement is open to both large and small business concerns. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bid guarantee is required. Bid package should be available on or about 3 March 1997. Time for project completion is approximately 14 months. This time is approximate.
