Jzyk, Contracting Officer, 206/615-2025 Work to be performed consists of replacement of the automatic control system for the building heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system and other building systems; installation of humidification systems in air handling units, both packaged units, and boiler fed units; installation of new motors and variable speed drives in air handling units; repair of two electric traction elevators with the installation of new drives and control systems; replacement of the outdoor cooling tower for condenser water from the cooling plant; installation of a outdoor condensing/direct expansion cooling system for one air handling unit; testing of installations and balancing hospital air flows. The plans and specifications use International System of Units (SI) metric equivalent measurements. Project completion time is estimated to be 165 calendar days after notice to proceed. Estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1 million. -- The proposed contract listed herein is set aside for 51% Indian-owned, controlled, and operated firms under the authority of the Buy Indian Act. In accordance with the Public Health Service Acquisition Regulation Paragraph 380.503(e), not more than fifty (50) percent of the work to be performed under a prime contract awarded pursuant to the Buy Indian Act shall be subcontracted to other than Indian firms.
