Scope of work consists of removing two (2) existing hot water boilers, 300 h.p. each and one (1) hot water boiler, 200 h.p. with associated burners and controls; existing breaching up to vertical stack; and fourteen (14) existing 10" shut-off/balancing valves, located in the boiler room in the basement. Replace the above removed equipment with compatible dual fuel gas/oil burner, high efficiency, hot water boilers; fourteen (14) new 10" shut-off/balancing valves and reconnect new breaching to the existing chimney at the same point. New equipment should be tied to the Building existing IECC-2000 Energy Management System. All new equipment, breaching, piping shall be reinsulated with with non-asbestos containing insulation. existing insulation contains asbestos. The completion time for this project is 265 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost is between $500,00 to $1,000,000. Specifications will be available on or about February 13, 1997. A Pre-Proposal conference will be scheduled for approximately March 6, 1997. The Small Business size standard for this project is $17 million and the Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542.
