45 -- IRRIGATION WATER BOOMS SOL RFQ R1-04-97-35 DUE 022597 POC Contact Contract Clerk (208) 765-7497 Provide six (6) Munckhof (or equal) traveling greenhouse irrigation boom systems for six (6) 30-foot wide Nexus Vail shelterhouses. Shelterhouses have trusses every 6 feet and are 102 feet long. One traveling boom system will be furnished per 30 by 102-foot shelterhouse structure. Hose, track pipe, and electrical wire will NOT be furnished by successful Contractor but all parts and motors capable to pull hose and boom for 102 feet with all other necessary parts for irrigation boom will be provided. Sprayer unit will have all necessary nozzles spaced every 12 inches on center and will provide uniform water coverage across a 30-foot wide house. Truss height on Government-furnished Nexus Vail shelterhouses is approximately eight (8) feet. Sprayer unit with boom and nozzles spacing will be located and manufactured for construction to receive 100 percent overlap with water spray coverage at top of container surface. Assume water pressure at one (1) inch diameter hose at 50 PSI. Under these conditions, each boom system be able to produce a uniform spray of at least 13 gallons per minute. All manuals and specifications sheets will be provided. (0023)
