49 -- FORWARD AREA REFUELING EQUIPMENT (FARE) SOL W13G07-CBD7-0026 POC MICHAEL BELMONTE (508) 233-4771 (Site Code DAAK60) The Soldier Systems Command is conducting market research seeking technology sources in the commercial market for fuel pumping equipment to replace systems no longer available. Respondents to this announcement will help the government make a determination as to industry interest and capabilities in this field. Fuel pumping system must be capable of drawing fuel (diesel/JP8) from large fabric storage tanks to fill other tanks and containers. It will contain hoses, fittings, nozzles, a pumping assembly, and a filter separator unit. The refueling system must pump fuel at a rate of 100 gallons per minute. Daily fuel transfer will be up to 10,000 gallons. The refueling system must operate on alternating current (AC), 3 phase (120/208 volts 50/60 hertz) supplied from both standard Army power units and commercial power sources (foreign or domestic). The maximum power draw shall not exceed 3 kilowatts. The refueling system will be mounted within a frame and be capable of withstanding cross-country and limited rough terrain travel. The refueling system will operate in the field in temperatures between minus 15 degrees F and plus 120 degrees F. The Army may buy up to 20 fuel pumping systems spread over several years. A draft Statement of Work is available upon request. Interested parties should respond to the POC at the address above. Companies should provide information on existing capabilities/subcomponents/systems that may be related to this effort that will aid the government in making a determination as to what capabilities/systems exist in industry that may support a successful execution of this proposed effort.
