58 -- RADIOS, MOBILE/PORTABLE SOL F48608-97-B0003 DUE 031897 POC Sherry Hogan (307)-775-3079 or MSgt Yeaton, (307)-775-3689 Radios, Mobile/Portable, All LMRs procured through this contract must meet the following general specifications; compliant with the federal telecommunications standards committee's intern federal standards (IFS): IFS 1101, IFS 1102, IFS 1104, IFS 1107 and IFS 1108 (Project 25); backward compatible with the following federal standard and Motorola protocols: FS1027 DES, Motorola's DES, DES-XL, and MDC 1200 STAT-ALERT protocol; must be capable of being used with existing radios in these modes of operation; capable of adding features in future by buying the upgrade and installing it through computer software; compliant with military specifications 810 C, D, & E. This is a "requirements" contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 19 Feb 97. The contract is for a basic with an option to extend the terms of the contract for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. Estimated quantities per year: BASIC YEAR -- mobile radios, 235 each; portable radios, 75 each; OPTION YEAR ONE -- mobile radios, 75 each; portable radios, 150 each; OPTION YEAR TWO -- mobile, 75 each; portable radios, 150 each.
