MACAU: LABELLING ON PREPACKAGED FOODSTUFFS ORDINANCE AND THE AMENDMENT TO THE LABELLING ON PREPACKAGED FOODSTUFFS ORDINANCE The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Labelling on Prepackaged Foodstuffs Ordinance (7 pages) and the Amendment to the Labelling on Prepackaged Foodstuffs Ordinance (4 pages), (both available in Portuguese). 6. Description of content: The purpose of this Ordinance is to provide information to consumers regarding the essential elements of prepackaged and non-prepackaged foods, by affixing onto it a descriptive label, expressed in one of the three following languages: Portuguese, Chinese or English, before those are put into the market for sale. The label must display the name of the product, the ingredients, minimum validity period, name and address of the manufacturer or the identification of the importer, net content, lot number and country of origin (only if its absence would be misleading). 7.
