The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington intends to add additional labor hours, the requirement for a Document Processing Technician, and two additional three-month options under the authority at FAR 6.302-1. All options, if exercised, would extend the period of performance through 31 MAR 1998 . The contract is for litigation support services and was awarded with limited competition under the authority of FAR 6.302-2. This unique-source increase and extension is justified because the support effort underway is continuous and builds upon previous work in such a way that it is not possible to bring on a new contractor without incurring prohibitive cost duplication and time delays.
