Z -- ROAD GRADING ON COVELO, UPPER LAKE AND CORNING DISTRICTS SOL R5-05-97-005 POC Point of Contact -- K.Stein; Chuck Laws, Contracting Officer, 916-842-6131 This project consists of grading and logging out of roads on the Upper Lake, Covelo, and Corning Ranger Districts of the Mendocino National Forest. The Upper Lake District has 48.9 miles of grading; the Corning District has 59.0 miles of grading; the Covelo District has 59.9 miles of grading. In addition, each district has included the removal of downed trees from the roadway. Contract time: 30 days. A spearate grading operation is required for each district and each operation shall run concurrently. The contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies and incidentals, to perform all work necessary to remove down trees across the roadway and blade and shape the surface to produce a uniform grade and cross-slope. Date for receipt of offers has not been established, but is estimated ot be early to mid March, 1997. When calling, be prepared to state name, address, and solicitation number.
